Centralized Living Area

One of the more unique aspects of this show home is the centralized location of the living area. Most bungalow floor plans have the living area on one side of the home and the bedrooms on the other side. In this plan, though, the living area is in the centre, with the master suite on one side and secondary bedrooms on the other. This gives your master suite a much more private feel.

The large foyer at the front of the home sets the tone. Guests will walk into an expansive space that allows them to clearly see into the living area of the home, which is finished with luxurious vinyl plank flooring. Through the entrance from the garage, though, you’ll walk into a laundry room/mudroom. Having the laundry room on the main floor is a big convenience, and definitely something that people are looking for in a single-storey home. There’s also an upgraded look that includes a sliding barn door rather than the usual pocket door.

There’s extra storage space in the walk-in corner pantry, and you’ll notice a lot of other upgraded features, like quartz countertops, under-cabinet fluorescent lighting, and pendant lights hanging over the island.

The great room is just the place you’ve been looking for to kick back and relax. There’s a gorgeous gas fireplace with a stone surround that will keep you warm during the winters. Pot lights in this room give you the light you need without feeling intrusive. We also think you’ll like the large 16 x 12 composite deck with glass railings through the sliding doors just off the dining nook. With completed landscaping in the front and back, there’s nothing left to do except enjoy the yard. Get ready to fire up the grill when the weather is nice.

Private Master Suite

As we mentioned before, the master suite is located by itself on one side of the home. If you choose this model, you’ll feel like you have your own wing. You’ll love the size of the bedroom area, and the way that the large windows let in plenty of natural light. There’s a large walk-in closet with shelving and hanging rods to store all of your clothes, but the ensuite is really the highlight of the master suite. There’s a ceramic tile floor rather than a basic vinyl, and the countertops are made from quartz. It also features an upgraded glass/ceramic shower and side-by-side sinks to make it easier to get ready in the morning. This master suite has everything you’ve been looking for.

Comfortable Secondary Bedrooms

On the other side of the home, two secondary bedrooms and a main bathroom finish off the home. The bedrooms are great for kids, but if you don’t have children living at home, you could easily use one of these rooms as a guest bedroom and the other as a home office or hobby room. Whether there will be mostly kids or guests in this area of the home, the luxurious cultured marble countertops in the bathroom show that you’ve paid attention to all of the little details.

Additional Space

With 1,700 square feet, this home has plenty of living space for most families, but if you’d like a little more space without adding a lot of extra costs, you could decide to finish the basement. With glass railings, the stairs going down to the finished basement flow seamlessly into the space, which has been upgraded with 9 foot high walls. The finished basement gives you a fourth bedroom, another full bathroom, and an absolutely enormous recreation room. In fact, finishing the basement adds almost 1,300 square feet of living space. That extra space could easily be a guest or in-law suite, or you could create the ultimate hang-out space.
